First post

In a world that teaches us to climb a large mountain of power and possession, I find it hard to live the life of a "Christian". I put the title in quotes because I believe the word is overused and, dare I say, misused in the typical American home. If I were to ask a Sunday morning congregation what it meant to be a Christian, I fear that the responses would vary. Is it true that the title of a Christian is so ambiguous that numerous definitions exist, or have we simply made it this way to suite our lifestyles?

It is such questions that have brought me to writing a blog. I, like all Christians, am on a journey. As Paul, the apostle, states, we are all "running a race". We are fighting a spritual battle daily. We are definately not perfect; this becomes more clear each day as I read His word. My goal is plain: to truly know God and live a life which glorifies Him. Being a Christian means being a follower of Christ. It means clinging on every word which went from his mouth. It means living and dying like Him.

Thank you for joining me as I learn what it means to live like Christ. In the past few years, God has brought me to many places; I have seen His endless glory in the mountains of Alaska and the streets of Hong Kong. I can't wait to see where He brings me next!
